The next job was to find a tatt shop. I had actually prayed that God would lead me to just the right place and just the right person. Well, He was faithful with my requests. It took about 4 hours (he had messed up as to how long it would take him to do the tatt so I ended up with a very high quality tatt for a very low price).

My artist was not your regular run of the mill artist (make no mistake - they are artists). We talked for 3 1/2 hours about a great many things including a lot of "God talk". I don't know if he has become a Christian, but at least he has heard the Gospel which was exactly why I got my tatt in the first place (Yea it's cool too).

So this is the symbolism behind it:

*A cross made of spikes

*A shackle around the cross

*A chain that is a link from the cross shackle to the shackle around my wrist showing I am a bond servant (there is more to this but this is somebody who has volunteered to become a servant) to the cross.

As I mentioned Carin had a rare form of breast cancer and she eventually died as a result. So for me my tatt has taken on an even more special meaning.
